An exhibition dedicated to the profound and complex relationship between sport, the Alpine territory and society, on the occasion of Milano Cortina 2026 and as part of the official Cultural Olympiad programme.
Organised by the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Lombardy, curated by Rosario Maria Anzalone and Silvia Anna Biagi, with the support of Regione Lombardia, Vette is realised in collaboration with the National Mountain Museum “Duca degli Abruzzi” of Turin and the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Veneto – National Poster Collection Museum Salce, and benefits from a wide network of collaborations and partners, ranging from private collectors to local institutions and associations.
Open until 30 August 2026, the exhibition offers—through Olympic posters and memorabilia, as well as ethnographic materials—a reflection on sport not only as competition, but as a historical, social and cultural phenomenon capable of profoundly shaping landscapes, communities and ways of living in the mountains.
