From Chiuro to Teglio among roads and villages

The itinerary from Chiuro to Teglio stretches over 10.7 km and enables you to fully immerse yourself in the landscape of the valley. Also suitable for beginners, in fact it winds its way among villages, roads, apple orchards and vineyards. With an altitude difference of 967 m and an average slope of 5%, it is a gentle, gradual ascent, lasting about an hour, which requires a constant pace. In the gentler stretches, it is possible to fully enjoy the landscape and the sunshine, which makes the route particularly pleasant, even in winter. The Tower of Teglio, already visible after the first bends, dominates the valley and guides cyclists towards their destination.

WELCOME TO TEGLIO Teglio, in the heart of the Valtellina between Sondrio and Tirano, is a mountain town located at an altitude of 900 metres on an extensive sun-drenched terrace with marvellous views of the Orobie Alps and the Adda Valley. The homeland of Pizzocchero pasta, the famous Academy of which it hosts, it is famous for the perfect marriage between nature and historical-artistic heritage.
It is the perfect place to spend a delightful holiday, with calming walks in the shady woods or along the streets with their stately buildings and cycle rides amid fields of buckwheat, vineyards and terrace cultivations.
