Prato Valentino

A natural terrace overlooking the Valtellina

Marvellous views of the Orobie Alps
Prato Valentino is an ideal place to relax or play sports immersed in nature. Located at an altitude of 1667 metres, it stretches along the slope of the Rhaetian Alps and offers splendid panoramic views of the Orobie. Here it is possible to enjoy taking part in a number of different sports in every season. Summer is ideal for excursions on foot or by bicycle, travelling along paths immersed in nature, with various levels of difficulty, suitable for both families and the more experienced. In winter snow transforms the area into a fairytale landscape. Prato Valentino is part of the Teglio Alps skiing district, where it is possible to engage in downhill skiing or go snow-shoe hiking along the marked-out itineraries. The Verdomana mountain pasture also deserves a visit: a charming panoramic balcony looking out over the valley bottom of the Valtellina.
