Ascent from Tresenda to Teglio

Cycling amid the crags and vineyards

Cycling in the heart of the Valgella

The Tresenda ascent is one of the shortest access routes to the town of Teglio. The route travels along a road with limited traffic, which is quite wide and has gentle bends. The initial stretch is the most tiring and is characterised by a winding course typical of mountain roads. Continuing, the slope becomes gentler and you can fully enjoy the panorama of the vineyards of the Valtellina. You reach Teglio in around an hour, travelling along a stretch of little more than 7 kilometres with an altitude difference of 477 metres. The route is exposed to the sun and can be travelled in all seasons. In summer, when you feel the heat most, it is particularly pleasant to treat yourself to a refreshing stop at one the water fountains present along the route.
