Amid fields of rye and buckwheat
This simple, pleasant itinerary enables you to admire the churches of Santa Maria di Ligone and San Rocco: with a 17th-century structure and with the relative ossuaries, they are among the most beautiful expressions of sacred local art. From the town of Teglio, follow the signs for Prato Valentino. Walking along the edges of fields of pastures and blossoming meadows, you reach Ligone, one of the oldest and most picturesque wards in the territory of Teglio, where it is possible to visit the church of Santa Maria. Then continue on a dirt road with panoramic views of the Orobie chain and the Val Malgina. After a short descent, after passing the chestnut trees, the road bends to the left towards San Rocco and its church of the same name. On the asphalted bend you can then take the path on the right and reach the area of the mills.
