Somasassa Lake Tranquillity and silence are two key elements of Teglio’s landscape. Its views, its leafy woods and placid waters give visitors peace, and they delight in losing themselves in this silent spectacle.
Such a sensation of tranquillity combines well with a sport that depends upon it: sport fishing. Immersed in an enchanting panorama, the small reservoir of Sommasassa, in the Ca' Branchi ward, offers enthusiasts of the sector the possibility of spending a day outdoors. Fishermen can take advantage of the equipment hire service and try their hand at fishing for the various specialities, or else benefit from numerous activities such as night fishing, which is booked in advance, the organisation of competitions, the daily stocking of fishes and the possibility of using the open-air picnic area for barbecuing the fish caught.
The broad territory of Teglio extends as far as the Orobic slope of the valley, including the Val Belviso, one of the zones best known and loved by fishermen.
At the valley bottom, on the other hand, is the River Adda, an iconic name in Valtellinese fishing.
