The Aprica Alpine Eco-Wildlife Observatory, devised and directed by naturalist biologist Bernardo Pedroni, is a vast area of over 25 hectares, with its boundaries clearly delimited, winding its way inside a fully equipped educational-naturalistic itinerary that is easy to travel, along which visitors have the opportunity to get to know nature and observe the animal and plant species present in the Park of the Orobie Valtellinese from close at hand. The Alpine Eco-Wildlife Observatory is a unique structure that enables visitors to experience the thrill of observing animals in the wild, arriving just a few metres away from them, without protective nets and in complete safety. Chamoises, ibexes, roe deers, birds of prey, tits, squirrels and small amphibians populate this naturalistic area that is a destination for visitors from all over Europe. The wildlife area of the brown bear of the Alps hosts two samples of this huge, imposing plantigrade mammal, which is observable from certain strategic points.
